The vegan Valentine’s Day options include Mushroom Arancini Hearts with Truffle Dip and dark Belgian chocolate heart with raspberry among others
Asda has announced it will be offering a vegan Valentine’s Day Meal Deal this year – boasting three courses with wine for £15.
The deal, which will be available between February 9 and 14, includes a starter, main plus two sides, and dessert, and a bottle of wine.
To begin their meal, plant-based diners can tuck into Asda’s new Vegan Mushroom Arancini Hearts with Truffle Dip. This is followed by the retailer’s Plant Based Wellington with Mushroom Duxelle for the main.
They can then choose two vegan sides, including Chantaney Carrots with Citrus Yuzu, Triple Cooked Chips, and Sweet Potato with Smoked Garlic.
And when it comes to dessert, Asda’s Dark Belgian Chocolate Heart with Raspberry is a suitably romantic option. These heart-shaped puds feature a chocolate shell dusted in pink shimmer, filled with a sweet raspberry centre.
There are two wine options to pick from: Asda Extra Special Sauvignon Blanc, and its Extra Special Malbec.

Vegan Valentine’s Day meal deal
Asda’s vegan Valentine’s Day meal deal is the latest in a line of plant-based offerings from the retailer, which recently added more than 100 vegan products to its shelves under two new brands.
Called OMV! and Plant Based, Asda says the new lines are aimed at everyone from ‘seasoned vegans to those doing Veganuary‘, and those ‘simply looking to cut down meat consumption’.
While OMV! offers ‘decadent, tasty treats sure to tantalise your tastebuds’, the Plant Based range features ‘nutritionally balanced meat-free meals that don’t compromise on flavour’.
Among the products on offer are chicken burgers, brioche buns, and sausages, as well as grab-and-go options including a chicken wrap.
