Valentine’s chocolates may have only just left the supermarket shelves, but retailers are already filling the shelves with tempting Easter-themed chocolates.
This year, Asda supermarket has a variety of vegan options on offer in a range of tempting flavours to please every palate.
One of the dairy-free eggs in the range has beaten off stiff competition from more expensive, non-vegan products to be crowned one of Good Housekeeping’s overall winners for 2020 in a blind taste test.
The Extra Special Free From & Vegan Belgian Dark Chocolate Easter Egg with Vanilla Flavoured Truffles (£5) was praised for its melt-in-the-mouth chocolate shell and the tempting truffles.

“Tasters couldn’t get enough of the melt-in-the-mouth chocolate with hidden crunchy cocoa nibs and loved the deliciously gooey truffles that come with it,” the Good Housekeeping Institute said of the vegan egg.
Fans of honeycomb can also find an Extra Special Honeycomb & Raspberry Chocolate Slab (£3.49) made with a rice-based alternative to milk chocolate and topped with lustred honeycomb and freeze-dried raspberries.
