Amazon Fresh has debuted its own range of vegan ready meals in the UK.

Prime subscribers can order the plant-based dishes online, with prices starting from just £3.30 and free delivery on orders over £40.

Amazon Fresh vegan range

The new range includes an ‘Italian style’ plant-based Mac & Cheez made from oat milk and a ‘fruity and tangy’ Spaghetti Puttanesca.

Other vegan ready meals include a Dhal Vegetable Bowl, Thai Red Butternut Squash Curry, and a Tofu Gochujang with jasmine rice.

“Our range of ready meals have been developed to take you on a culinary journey around the world,” Amazon Fresh said.

“We want to bring cuisines of the world into your homes and onto your plates. Taking inspiration from British classics, takeaway staples and street food trends, no matter whether you are looking for a quick lunchtime or evening meal we have you covered.”

Rave reviews

Amazon Fresh’s vegan ready are already proving a hit with customers, with one proclaiming the Thai Red Butternut Squash Curry to be ‘chef quality’.

One delighted reviewer said: “Who would have thought?! I am pleasantly surprised not ‘just at the care with how the the meal is presented but also how well the rice was actually cooked. The sauce and vegetables were so tasty. I really enjoyed it. Felt spoiled.”

Another declared the Tofu Cohujang to be “one of the best ready meals I’ve ever had.”

Fresh Plant-Based

Last year, the US version of Amazon Fresh launched its own range of vegan products, Fresh Plant-Based.

The line boasted 15 products including almond milk in two flavours (original and vanilla), plant-based chicken nuggets and patties, and plant-based beef in ground, patty, and meatball variants.

“We obsess over quality products and great selection and strive to respond to customer’s needs by giving them choices that fit any lifestyle,” a spokesperson for the company said.

“With Fresh Plant-Based, we offer customers a selection of affordable favourites that are free from animal products and full of flavour.
