Aldi has announced the launch of a range of takeaway-style plant-based products for Veganuary.
So that Veganuary participants don’t have to miss out on their takeaway favourites, Aldi is offering a range of plant-based treats inspired by the nations favourite fast food outlets.
Prices start from just 99p, so feasting on these ‘fakeaway’ favourites won’t break the bank.
The Aldi vegan takeaway range
The new ‘fakeaway’range contains a mouth-watering variety of products, including:
Plant Menu No Chicken Nuggets (99p) – These succulent little nuggets are inspired by McDonald’s and promise the same mouth-watering taste. They’re also much cheaper than McDonald’s nuggets at 99p for 10!
Available from 17th January.
Plant Menu No Chicken Indian Spiced Strips (£1.99) – You don’t need to miss out on that Indian takeaway feeling thanks to the delicious Indian-inspired spiced strips. There’s a reason they were voted as “best vegan goujons” in the Olive Vegan Supermarket Awards 2022.
Available from 11th January.
Specially Selected No Chicken Balls with Sweet Chilli Dip (£2.29) – Anyone missing the battered chicken balls from a Chinese takeaway will have their fancy tickled by these authentic-tasting chicken-style balls. They make the perfect starter or side.
In stores now.
Plant Menu Salt & Vinegar No Fish Fillets (£1.99) – Don’t miss out on a Friday chippy with these ‘fin-tastic’ fillets. Made from a combination of veggies coated in crispy breadcrumbs, these salt and vinegar seasoned fillets are even wrapped in newspaper for the full takeaway feeling!

Vegan food in Aldi
Vegan food and ‘Specialbuys’ in Aldi have a pretty high turnover, so when you find something you like you have to snap it up fast!
It can be pretty frustrating when a new favourite disappears, but it does mean that there’s often something new and exciting to try.
This January, Aldi have pulled out all the stops with a massive range of limited edition plant-based ‘Specialbuys’ to grab hold of for Veganuary.
Look out for Plant Menu branded nutritional yeast, vegan brownies, croissants, and more!
