Aldi unveils its vegan Christmas range for 2020 and it includes vegan turkey

Retailers are ramping up for Christmas by teasing details of their upcoming festive ranges to get us excited about the holiday season.

Budget retailer Aldi is whetting our appetites with its tasty range of vegan and vegetarian Christmas foods for 2020 coming to stores this September.

Last Christmas saw the UK consuming approximately 10 million turkeys, so why not enjoy a kinder Christmas and leave turkeys to enjoy their own by opting for Aldi’s Plant Menu Vegan Turkey instead!

This meat-free main is a tasty alternative to turkey made from soya and filled with cranberry, red pepper, apricot and pumpkin seed stuffing, and coated in a barbecue flavour glaze.

The supermarket is also selling three varieties of its Specially Selected Vegan Stuffing Balls that would be the perfect accompaniment to the plant-based turkey. Flavours include cranberry, apricot & mandarin, or sage & onion

Look no further than Aldi’s Vegan Hamper for 2020 which contains a delicious selection of plant-based goodies to tuck into including a Christmas pudding, fruit cake bar, Medjool dates, chocolate truffles, dairy-free creams, tea and a Chilean Merlot.

If you’re hosting family this year and want to take the stress out of cooking, Aldi has a range of nibbles to keep your guests happy.

Aldi UK is offering a vegan version of pigs in blankets in the form of its Plant Menu Vegan Pigs in Blankets. The puff pastry wrapped vegan cocktail sausages with a herb and pepper flavour are perfect for Christmas party nibbles.

You’ll also find No Duck Spring Rolls, Vegan Fusion Skewers, Vegetable Tempura Nests plus the new for 2020 Vegan Thai Roses. These handmade red and yellow roses are filled with a vegetable filling, curry paste, spices and wrapped in filo pastry.

Last but by no means least is the sumptuous sounding Specially Selected Chocolate Orange Vegan Melt in the Middle Pudding.

This decadent dessert is a chocolate-lovers dream with a dark chocolate sponge and an orange flavoured compote centre finished with a dark chocolate sauce and gold shimmer.

Aldi’s Christmas range will be rolled out in stores from September.
