Budget retailer Aldi UK has launched a wide range of vegan products to make cooking this festive season a little easier, with party food and a selection of dishes that are perfect for the main meal.
Main Event
Put your feet up this Christmas and let Aldi do the work with its selection of vegan mains and sides that ensure no one will miss meat this year.
Launching in stores on December 21st is the Specially Selected Vegan Centrepiece (£3.99). This handmade vegan pastry wreath is filled with chestnut mushrooms, butternut squash and fruit stuffing. A rich and golden all-vegan pastry encases the filling making it the perfect main for Christmas day.
Available to purchase in stores now is the Specially Selected Pastry Crowns (£2.99): New for 2019 and Vegan Society Approved, these Christmas crowns are filled with root vegetables and vegan cheddar cheese sauce.
The perfect accompaniment to the main meal is Aldi’s Vegan Stuffing Balls (£2.49). Made in the UK and new for 2019, these vegan stuffing balls are available in two festive flavours, Sage & Onion or Spiced Apple & Ruby Port for a delightful alternative to meat or veggie stuffing. Find them in stores from 12th December.
Party Food
Keen to take the stress out of catering at Christmas parties, Aldi has released a wide range of nibbles that are sure to please your guests this festive season.
Throw a festive fiesta with the Specially Selected Mexican Party Selection (£2.99). Coming to stores on December 12th, this delicious vegan Mexican inspired party selection includes ten bite-sized pieces of party food. Each pack contains four Tortillas filled with mouth-watering BBQ Jackfruit, three Vegetable Tacos and three Crispy Chipotle Tofu Tortilla Cones.
Taking inspiration from the Far East, Aldi will also launch a Specially Selected Dim Sum (£2.99) on December 12th, which includes Charsui Mushroom and Jackfruit Bao Buns, Massaman Curry Vegetable Shuimai and Five Spiced Jackfruit Dumplings.
There’s also a Specially Selected Vegetable Tempura Nest (£2.99) which will be a firm favourite for all. Enjoy a mix of tempura-fried vegetables with a delectable sweet chilli sauce from 12th December.
New for 2019 and available in stores now, the Vegan Mini Bites (£1.79) are not to be missed. Each pack contains 10 handmade vegan party platter favourites such as Sweet Chilli Cauliflower & Pumpkin Bites or Jackfruit Spring Rolls for a vegan twist on duck spring rolls.
If you can’t wait to start the festive feasting then you’ll find Aldi’s Vegan Cocktail Sausage Rolls (£0.99) in stores now. A fun and tasty twist on the classic pork cocktail sausage roll wrapped in golden puff pastry and what’s more they’re new for 2019 and Vegan Society Approved. With 20 in a pack, there’ll be plenty to go around!
