Thrifty vegan shoppers rejoice, as Aldi expands their own-brand vegan range with three new plant-based frozen meals.
Aldi are the latest supermarket in the UK to expand their own-brand vegan range, with three new tasty additions to their supermarket shelves. As a part of their new “I Am Vegan” own-brand vegan product collection, launching on Sunday 8th September, Aldi have created a range of ready meals which are free from meat, dairy and animal products but full of flavour.
The three new frozen ready meals are:
- Red Pepper & Mango Curry – Red pepper, mango, black turtle beans and sugar snap peas in a coconut curry sauce infused with ginger, garlic and coriander. Accompanied with brown rice.
- Thai Yellow Curry – Aubergine, red peppers, lentils and spring onions in a Thai-inspired coconut curry sauce with brown and black rice.
- Smoky Jackfruit Chilli – Red peppers and red onion in a delicious smoky chipotle sauce with brown rice.
Keeping the pennies pinched, the new ready meals are priced at £1.99 each, and can be cooked quickly and easily in a microwave. Perfect for those lazy evenings or mid-week lunches!
Aldi’s vegan audience
Following on from the introduction of Aldi’s high-protein I Am Vegan Quarter Pounders earlier on in the summer, and the social-media-favourite Mae’s Kitchen Vegan No Sausage Rolls, the budget supermarket are keen to expand upon their vegan range and cater to the growing number of vegans in the UK.
From Sunday 8th September, Aldi will also be introducing a range of vegan Specialbuys, featuring Organic Japanese Tofu (£1.49), Veggie Jerky (99p) and Oat Milk for just 89p! We’re making room in our cupboards as we speak.
New ready meals from the I Am Vegan Range will be available from the 8th September, RRP £1.99.
