A brand new all-vegan takeaway is opening slap bang in the city centre on St Enoch Square.

The new eatery, The Glasvegan, is a new vegan fast food takeaway, offering ‘succulent, animal-product-free-food’.

Speaking about the decision to open a dedicated vegan takeaway in the centre, owner Arita Bereza told news outlet Glasgow Live: “So many vegans struggle in Glasgow city center to find something hearty and filling to eat, some quick and convenient vegan food to go – especially on their lunch breaks.

I decided to do something new and something different. For me it’s about climate change and going vegan is the greenest this you can do if u want to help the environment.”

The Glasvegan is due to have a ‘soft’ opening today (9th March), before a launching in the next week or two.
