A café dedicated to serving up delicious vegan doughnuts and quality coffee has opened in the Bridgend in Wales.
If there’s one dessert that really gets us salivating it would be the doughnut! And two vegan entrepreneurs from Wales certainly seem to agree as they celebrate the opening of their vegan coffee shop that’s dedicated to serving up customers a delicious selection of vegan-friendly doughnuts.
Cheap Thrills Coffee Company opened its doors on Bridgend Industrial Estate in October, and it’s going down a treat with locals. So much so in fact that the store regularly sells out of its doughnuts by the end of the day.
The vegan eatery is the brainchild of Scott Magill and Ryan Jenkins, whose mutual love for vegan food and a good cup of coffee inspired them to open the shop.
Speaking to Wales Online, Scott explained the decision to open a vegan doughnut shop in the Welsh town, stating: “I had some space and asked Ryan if he would like to do something with me so we opened up a coffee shop and made vegan doughnuts. Being vegan myself, I realised there was nowhere local you could get vegan food.
“Everything is vegan but we only sell coffee, doughnuts and bagels.”
Cheap Thrills Coffee Company currently offers a mouthwatering selection of doughnuts, with flavours such as Oreo Crunch, Biscoff and Peanut Butter on offer to choose from. Scott and Ryan are also planning to try their hand at creating some tasty new recipes to add more flavours to the store’s menu as the business develops.
If you’re after a savoury snack to accompany your coffee the store also offers a selection of bagels filled with meat alternatives to create popular recipes like their Meetball Bagels.
Cheap Thrills is open between 10am and 4pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
