With the big day just weeks away, a two-day Vegan Christmas Market is coming to Gloucester to give vegans a chance to tuck into some cruelty-free Christmas fare.

Gloucester vegan Christmas market

Fancy getting a little bit merry on mulled mince and stuffing yourself with vegan mince pies? Then why not head down to the Gloucester Vegan Christmas Market this December and discover a massive range of gifts, food and drink to get you in the festive spirit.

The event will host more than 60 vendors selling a range of cruelty-free food and eco-conscious gifts. Visitors can keep their cool with dairy-free ice cream from Ice Green, get merry with vegan wine from Tipple on Tap and tuck into sandwiches from Badgers Vegan Kitchen. There’s also handmade nut and seed butters from Butterbelle.

No Christmas market would be complete without Santa, and visitors to the market will be pleased to hear Santa Claus will be there to hand out dairy-free chocolate and wooden toys to families. The market will also include all-day craft and storytime areas making the event a great day out for families.

Vegan Events Gloucestershire founders Katie Lawrence and Naomi Bayle organized the first Vegan Christmas Market in 2017 after being inspired by vegan markets in surrounding cities.

Speaking to VegNews, Vegan Events Gloucestershire founder Katie Lawrence said: “I wanted to do one on my own doorstep, so I gave a shout-out to other local vegans to see if they would like one in Gloucester, too, and I had lots of positive feedback. We decided to do one that tied in with Christmas so people could buy lovely vegan and ethical Christmas gifts while enjoying vegan food and drinks.”

The market will take place on 1-2 December 2018 at Blackfriars, Ladybellegate St, Gloucester.
