The Vegan Recipe Box Company provides nationwide, delivered-to-your-door vegan recipe kits with pre-measured, exact ingredients and recipe cards for customers to create spectacular vegan meals at home.

Founder Ali Palmer, who started her own vegan journey in 2016, wanted to create a means for people new to the world of vegan dining, to cook truly tasty vegan food at home and confidently use some of the more unfamiliar ingredients without waste or worry. The Vegan Recipe Box premises are 100% vegan, Palmer says. “Vegan is what we know, what we care about and all we do!”

The recipe box format for time-starved foodies wanting to break out of their food rut and cook great food at home has skyrocketed in popularity over the last couple of years. Palmer believes this is because it benefits users by removing the need to physically hunt out recipe ideas, shop for components, search out (sometimes obscure) ingredients, pack, carry and unpack the produce.

Palmer believes her ‘exclusively vegan’ boxes meet a demand for truly tasty, well balanced and filling vegan food. “There is a perception that vegan food is either ‘alfalfa shoots and lettuce’ or ‘curry’. Commonly, vegan recipes created by nonvegans lack substance, taste and that ‘tummy-full’ satisfying feeling once eaten. Our recipe selection has been created by vegan chefs, and tested on vegan diners and include, vegan comfort food, exotic vegan dishes, healthy vegan options and ‘old favourites’ in the range. We give generous portions too, so most people are able to lunch on the leftovers the next day, solving the eternal problem for vegans of finding interesting vegan lunches.”

The recipe boxes use top quality produce and contain ‘organic’ where possible (even the tins of tomatoes and tomato paste are organic). They are as environmentally responsible as practicable, using recyclable and biodegradable packaging as much as possible, and not using wool in the box insulation.

Palmer says “We believe that more people choosing to live and eat more ‘plant-based’ would make the world a better place. Our mission is to make it easier for them to do so.”
