A new range of healthy vegan and gluten-free cake slices is launching in Sainsbury’s.
A brand new range of vegan and gluten-free cake slices is landing on Sainsbury’s supermarket shelves, and they’re perfect for a mid-morning snack or sharing with friends.
The cakes, which are made by Bells & Whistles, are available in three delicious flavours and each variety bursts with layer upon layer of flavour as a sumptuous baked base is smothered with luxurious chocolate ganache then generously topped with dark chocolate or vegan white chocolate and generously sprinkled with either tangy berries, roasted hazelnuts or chopped pistachio.
Bells & Whistles’ vegan cake slices all come in at under 120 calories per slice and cost £2.75 for a pack of four.
The Berry & Cashew Cake features a fudgy coconut and chocolate baked base with a fruity cranberry and roasted cashew chocolate ganache, topped with vegan white chocolate and hand finished with a tangy berry crumb of dried raspberries and cranberries.
The Nut Truffle flavour has a rich coconut and almond baked base and is packed with nutty flavour from its crunchy roasted hazelnut, cashew and pecan ganache, topped with a smooth vegan white chocolate and hand finished with toasted hazelnuts.
The Ginger & Apricot variety has baked fudgy coconut base topped with a smooth chocolate ganache with warming ginger and sweet apricot, generously covered in dark and delicious chocolate and hand finished with chopped pistachio.
In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Josh Boydell Smith from Bells & Whistles commented: “We’re delighted to offer vegans, vegetarians and anybody else who loves indulgent treats, slices of deliciousness that can be enjoyed anywhere without those pangs of guilt. The slices maybe small, but they deliver a whole lot more as we only use the very best ingredients that make each layer explode with amazing and distinctive textures and flavours.”
Bells & Whistles range is available to purchase in Sainsbury’s stores from June 9th in the ‘free from aisle’ and online.
