Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown launches vegan cruelty-free makeup range

Having sat in makeup chairs since she was young, teenage actor Millie Bobby Brown is launching a certified vegan, cruelty-free and clean makeup range.

Stranger things actor Millie Bobby Brown is set to launch her brand new makeup and skincare range, Florence By Mills, deciding to make the entire collection vegan, and entirely cruelty-free, as certified by animal rights group PETA.

To announce the collection, Millie took to Instagram with a promotional video, in which she stated:  “Every young person deserves to have a good start with their skin. I wanted it to be vegan, clean, cruelty-free, that would be easy to get and fun to use, and still youthful, but you know, playing that sophisticated teenager as well.”

After sitting in makeup chairs herself since she was 9 and 10 years old, being painted with various products, and having special effects applied to her skin, Millie was determined to produce something functional yet honest. Florence By Mills will be a cleaner, safer and more skin-friendly range of makeup, which is suitable for all skin types, and is both paraben-free and sulphate-free. A vision which is supported by ethical makeup enthusiasts, who are lusting after cleaner beauty and skincare brands. Seeing the gap in the market for younger adults and teens, Millie made the decision to create a solution for those with vulnerable youthful skin.

The name for the range was inspired by her great grandma. According to WDD, Millie commented: “[Florence] was a really unique woman and embraced her individuality and who she was as a person. I’ve been told I’m a lot like her. I felt like a brand about individuality and bravery and being truthful should be named after somebody who was all of those things.”

Florence by Mills will feature a range of products including a Facial Mist, Lip Tint, Eye Gel Pads and a Light Skin Tint. The collection launches next week, and will be available to buy from Boots and online, with prices ranging from £8 to £28.
