Iceland launches vegan ‘lamb’ koftas and pulled ‘pork’ burgers that are perfect for BBQs

According to Iceland, choosing “vegan food for a summer BBQ is no longer a niche choice”, and its proving that once and for all with new additions such as No Lamb Koftas, burgers, spring rolls and No Chick Nuggets.

Following the incredible success of its frozen vegan ‘No Bull’ range, Head Chef at Iceland supermarket, Neil Nugent, ‘knew [Iceland] had to create a full vegan range’, and the supermarket is living up to its promise with the release of a new selection of products that are perfect for summer parties.

New products in Iceland’s vegan range include:

  • No Bull Vegan Tofu & Vegetable Burgers (£2, 200g)
  • No Bull Vegan Asian Burgers (£2, 200g)
  • No Bull Bolognaise (£2, 350g)
  • No Duck Spring Rolls (£2, 10 x 20g)
  • No Fish Fingers (£2, 6 x 30g)
  • No Chick Nuggets (£2, 8 x 25g)
  • No Lamb Koftas (£2, 5 x 50g)

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, a spokesperson for Iceland said: “Iceland’s Pulled No Pork Burger offers customers the chance to take a big bite out of the BBQ festivities this summer, with meat-replicating pulled jackfruit flawlessly mimicking the texture of pulled pork.

“Also joining the vegan range is Iceland’s No Lamb and Mint Kofta Skewers, with a delicate blend of garlic, chilli, lemon, mint and spices, these hearty, plant-based kebabs have everything you would expect in a traditional kofta with none of the meat.”

If you’ve got room for dessert, don’t forget to pick up one of Iceland’s vegan melt-in-the-middle chocolate puddings – a rich and spongy cake with an oozing chocolate centre.
