Have you tried For Goodness Shakes Plant Protein Shakes?

For Goodness Shakes, the UK’s market leader in ready-to-drink protein shakes, are introducing the nation to For Goodness Shakes Plant Protein, a plant-based, ready-to-drink protein shake, which refuses to compromise on either nutrition or flavour.

The new For Goodness Shakes Plant Protein 330ml shakes deliver 20g of soya protein in three delicious flavours –Smooth Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla Chai. As well as delivering excellent taste, the nutritionals are also impressive. Strawberry & Vanilla Chai come in at under 100 calories (Chocolate is only 111 calories) and each flavour has no added sugar, is low in fat and contains no artificial flavours, colours or carrageenan. Vitamins B12 and D are also included as these are typically low in vegan diets.

For Goodness Shakes Plant Protein is 100% dairy-free, which makes it the perfect on-the-go protein drink for vegans and flexitarians alike.

While many protein shakes are made of whey protein, a dairy product, For Goodness Shakes Plant Protein is made from a soya base. This gives it an excellent protein content, makes it easy to digest and offers a taste profile that is much more subtle than other vegan sources, like pea and hemp.

As we know, Veganism is rapidly growing in the UK, with more and more people opting for plant-based diets. Today there are an estimated 3.5m million British vegans, up by 700% in just two years![1] Several campaigns have helped encourage Brits to go vegan. Take Veganuary for instance, in 2018 the campaign grew by 183%, with 168,542 people signing, 39% of them citing health for their motivation and 10% citing environmental factors[2].

For Goodness Shakes Plant Protein is packaged in a plant-based carton from Tetra Pak® designed for on-the-go consumption. More than 50% of the carton is produced from paperboard, a renewable plant-based raw material. This means that the carton is low-plastic and has the added benefit of a low impact on climate change. It’s also recyclable – cartons are being collected for recycling in 92% of UK local authority areas.

Emma Barraclough, Product Development Manager says, “More and more consumers are looking for plant-based options in their diets. Our new range offers them a genuine alternative to milk-based shakes that maintain a high protein level and taste great too, in a quick and easy ready-to-drink carton.”

For Goodness Shakes Plant Protein is now available from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Amazon, and Ocado as well as Convenience & Independent stores. Price ranges from £1.85-£2.29, depending on retailer.
