The Orange Tree, Leicester
Although this restaurant is not entirely vegan or vegetarian, its tofush and chips are excellent! Caper-infused tofu is wrapped in nori seaweed and coated in gluten-free batter. It is served with minted mushy peas, tartare sauce and chips. Yum.

When owner Susan Ord became vegan, she made it her mission to start offering vegan options from her chip shop. Land & Sea now offers an impressive vegan menu which consists of traditional dishes made vegan such as crispy ‘prawns’ served with vegan ‘ta ta’ sauce, deep fried pizza (because why not?!) and even a vegan black pudding.
The Railway Hotel, Southend-On-Sea
The Railway Hotel offers a 100% vegan menu. The fish and chips can be found in the ‘Mains’ section, and the chips are homemade! A great thing about this place is the huge variety of options – you’ll definitely be tempted by something!
