Co-op releases two new vegan ice-creams in time for summer

Co-op has launched two new vegan ice-creams to help you keep you cool all summer long.

The vegan ice cream market is set to surpass a value of $1 billion by 2024 with large dairy ice-cream producers such as Ben & Jerry’sCornetto and Häagen-Dazs keen to get a scoop of the action with the launch of vegan and dairy-free ranges.

Joining the likes of Holland & Barrett, Co-op has launched two new vegan and dairy-free ice-creams to help you keep you cool all summer long.

Co-op has made sure no one misses out this summer with the release of it’s Free From Strawberry and Vanilla Cones that are both vegan and gluten-free.

The tasty strawberry and vanilla chocolate coated cones are drizzled with a scrumptious strawberry sauce for an ideal sunny afternoon treat. You can pick up a pack of four for £2.50.

For chocolate fans, Co-op has launched Free From Choc Sticks that feature sweet vanilla flavoured ice-cream covered in a delicious chocolate coating for a satisfiying chocolatey snap with every bite. As with the Strawberry and Vanilla Cones, a pack of four costs £2.50.

To meet growing demand from consumers, Co-op recently launched a selection of exciting new vegan products during Veganuary including sandwiches, ready meals and wine.

Co-op’s vegan and vegetarian wine offering is also better than ever – boasting more than 100 lines for shoppers. The community retailer pioneered clear wine labelling and was the first supermarket to include allergen and ingredient information on its wines.

Co-op also recently joine the likes of IcelandAldiWaitrose and Sainsbury’s in offering customers realistic meat-free burgers.
