As the nation joins together on a Thursday night to #clapforourcarers, we wanted to celebrate the heroes within our vegan community and say thank you to those helping to make a difference and spreading joy during these difficult times. So every Friday we’ll be encouraging you to join us to say thank you to Anthem’s Angels on our social media channels.
We know many vegan stores, cafes and restaurants are really struggling at this time as their business has been forced to shut their doors, yet they’re still going that extra mile to care for others and put their skills to good use. Do you know someone who is going the extra mile for those who are most vulnerable, or a vegan company who is delivering food to those in need? We want you to help us say thank you to them by tagging them in the comments below the posts and telling us all what they’ve been up to.
We’ll start off with an example of a vegan business which is going above and beyond to look after its local community – vegan charity and community cookery school, Made In Hackney. The school has stopped all classes and instead has become a free food home delivery service for vulnerable people delivering free meals to those in need. Thank you #veganangels!
