Popular Swedish oat milk brand Oatly, the makers behind the incredibly popular Barista-style oat drink which is the perfect addition to hot drinks, has announced the addition of five delicious flavours of ice-cream to their product range.

Oatly’s new ice cream flavours include refreshing flavours such as: Pretty Average Vanilla, Totally Basic Chocolate, Very Fancy Double Chocolate Fudge, Quite Ordinary Strawberry, and Really Posh Caramel Hazelnut.

The oat milk brand is no stranger to the world of dairy-free ice-creams as the brand currently offers three classic flavours in Nordic markets — VanillaChocolate, and Strawberry.

Availability

Before you get too excited, you’ll need to holster your scoops for the meantime as Oatly’s vegan ice-creams are currently only available in Sweden, Finland and Norway, although the company has stated that they are ‘working on’ introducing the products to ‘all’ of their markets.

If you’re lucky enough to live in a country where you can get your hands on the delicious range, you can find them in Meny, Kiwi and Spar stores.

Thankfully the world of vegan ice-creams keeps on expanding, and there’s plenty of choice in the freezers for those of us in the UK who are looking for a sweet treat in the hot weather. Ice-cream giants Ben & Jerry’s recently released their dairy-free pints into all major UK supermarkets, whilst Sainsbury’s has also launched a range of vegan ice cream in three flavours. If you want to push the boat out and treat yourself to something special, then look no further than Booja-Booja for an indulgent dessert.
